Our Specialty

Ironbound Castings Monel Alloy Castings

Ironbound Castings has supplied Monel 400 castings to the U.S. Navy and defense supply chain for generations. Our controlled melting practices, no bake molding process, and rigorous material certification procedures are matched to the demands of these premium nickel-copper alloys — from small valve bodies to large pump housings and structural fittings.

Every Monel casting is produced with full chemistry and mechanical property certification. Heat-specific test bars are maintained and furnished on request. Our in-house machining department is experienced with Monel cutting requirements, and our inspection team provides complete NAVSEA documentation for Navy program deliveries.

Key Features

Why Choose Ironbound for Monel

High-nickel alloys require controlled melt practices and careful process management. Our foundrymen bring decades of Monel casting experience to every heat.

Navy-Qualified Monel

Decades of Monel 400 / M35-1 castings for the U.S. Navy and defense supply chain, with full MIL-SPEC chemistry certifications and NAVSEA documentation packages.

Seawater Corrosion Resistance

Monel 400 offers exceptional resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and a broad range of industrial chemical environments — outstanding service life in the most aggressive marine applications.

No Bake Precision

All Monel castings are produced using our no bake sand molding process — providing the dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and controlled solidification that premium nickel-copper alloys require.

Single-Source Delivery

Pattern making, casting, heat treatment, machining, and inspection under one roof — one PO and one point of contact from drawing review through final inspected delivery.
