About Ironbound Castings
Ironbound Castings is a full-service foundry specializing in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel alloy sand castings — with an in-house pattern shop, machining, and complete inspection capabilities under one roof.
Who We Are
Ironbound Castings is a full-service foundry producing high-quality sand castings in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel alloys. Our craftsmen utilize both green sand and no-bake molding to produce fine-finish castings with consistent tolerances across the full range of alloys we pour.
We operate a full-service pattern shop and offer complete machining and inspection capabilities in-house — meaning a customer can place one purchase order, provide a drawing, and receive a finished, inspected, certified casting without coordinating multiple vendors.
We supply Navy and defense prime contractors including General Dynamics Electric Boat, as well as commercial and industrial customers across oil and gas, power generation, marine, and industrial manufacturing. Every casting ships with certified material test reports and the documentation your quality system requires.

Capabilities
High-volume green sand casting for production runs. Fast cycle times with consistent dimensional quality on bronze, aluminum, stainless, and nickel alloys.
Chemically bonded no-bake molds for fine-finish surfaces, complex geometries, and large castings. Harder mold surface yields better casting finish and tighter tolerances.
Shell core, CO2, bench oil sand, and zircon core processes in-house. Cores for internal passages, ports, and complex cavity features produced on-site.
Full-service in-house pattern shop. New patterns from CAD or prints, pattern modifications, repairs, and prototype tooling — all produced on-site.
CNC turning, boring, and milling on-site. Castings delivered as-cast, rough machined, or fully machined to drawing on a single order.
CMM and hand-tool dimensional inspection, RT, PT, MT, UT, and hydrostatic pressure testing in-house. Full documentation furnished with every shipment.

Navy Partnership
In February 2019, General Dynamics Electric Boat visited Ironbound Castings to give a presentation on quality standards and the importance of the castings we produce for the Navy submarine program.
We understand what Navy prime contractors require — material certifications, NAVSEA documentation packages, NDE records, hydrostatic test reports, and dimensional inspection — and we deliver it on every order.
Send us your drawing and specifications. We will provide a prompt quote with pattern and per-piece pricing clearly broken out.
