Ironbound Castings Stainless Steel Castings
Ironbound Castings produces stainless steel sand castings for corrosion-resistant valve bodies, pump housings, fittings, and structural components in chemical, offshore, power generation, and food-processing service. We pour CF8M, CF8, CF3M, CN7M, and related grades from our induction furnaces.
All stainless castings are chemistry-certified to ASTM A351 requirements and are available with radiographic inspection, pressure testing, and full dimensional inspection. In-house machining completes the part to print — one source from drawing to finished casting.
CF8M (316 SS EQUIVALENT)
The most widely specified stainless casting grade — excellent corrosion resistance in a broad range of process fluids, seawater, and chemical service. Used for valve bodies, pump housings, and fittings.
CF8 (304 SS EQUIVALENT)
Cost-effective general-purpose stainless casting for non-chloride corrosive environments. Good weldability and excellent fabricability for complex shapes.
CN7M (ALLOY 20)
High-nickel, high-molybdenum stainless grade for sulfuric acid and other aggressive chemical service environments requiring superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
Sizes & Applications
Stainless castings at Ironbound range from small fittings under 5 pounds to large valve bodies and pump casings exceeding 200 pounds. Our no bake molding process is preferred for complex stainless geometries requiring superior dimensional accuracy.
